Will you provide bus transportation?
YES! We plan to have two buses, one running north-south and one running east-west. The school will have set community bus stops by March 2022 based on enrollment. Once selected in the school lottery, there will be a question on the enrollment form about bus transportation needs.
Will you provide catered lunches?
YES! We will have lunches catered through a vendor. Lunches will be available for purchase. If your student qualifies for free or reduced lunch, Oak Hill Charter School will provide those accommodations. Details will be provided on the enrollment form.

What is a charter school?

How are charter schools funded?

Where will your school be located?

Is there any cost to attend?
No. All North Carolina charter schools are tuition-free public schools, funded by the state of NC.
Do you need to be a Caldwell County resident to attend?
No. Any student that lives in the state of NC can apply to attend a charter school. There are no district boundaries. Oak Hill Charter School does not and shall not discriminate on the bases of race, color, religion, gender, gender expression, age, national origin, disability, sexual orientation or military status in any of it’s activities or operations.
Do you accept students with IEPs?
Yes. We will be able to accommodate all students with IEP,s PEP’s, and 504’s. Oak Hill Charter will have an EC teacher on staff based on the needs of the children that require assistance.
How many students will be in each class?
Kindergarten through 5th grade will be capped at no more than 24 students per class.
Grades 6 through 8 will be capped at no more than 24 students per class.
